 The western juniper tree story
This tree which is regarded by some as a weed has spread over central Oregon over the last 60 to  80  years. The western juniper consumes an average of 40 gallons of water per day. State and Federal government agencies and private landowners want lands where these grow to be fire protected; watersheds and range land restored. We are actively involved in this effort which is how the wood is obtained

Most of the debris left after milling and firewood is ground into chip and used for fire starter, path & road covering and landscaping.  If applied properly will act as a natural herbicide.

Milling  we have a portable band saw mill. It's used to rough cut juniper into different dimensions for cutting the basic slabs, leaving the natural edge of the tree intact.
